Nichoas Scarr Quantlogic
Nicholas Scarr

CEO

As Quantlogic’s Chief Executive Officer, Nicholas is responsible for Quantlogic’s day-to-day-operations, as well as leading the company’s product development and technology strategy. He has a solid background in financial services and technology, with a successful record of building profitable technology companies from the ground up. Nicholas is also a qualified stock broker with a deep understanding of risk management, gained from his time working in the City of London for an HSBC subsidiary firm of Lloyd’s Brokers. With a passion for technology, strong entrepreneurial flair, and a powerful desire to build his own company, Nicholas went on to develop two highly successful telecommunications businesses; the first, which at the time included Europe’s largest call-handling center, was floated on the London Stock Exchange, and the other, The Telecommunications Group, was sold to Primus, a NASDAQ quoted company. Over the last 14 years Nicholas’s whole focus has been on the development of algorithmic trading strategies and allied research.

Trevor Neil

Director of Research

Trevor Neil, Europe’s leading Quantitative/technical analysis expert, has been a trader for over 40 years and is Director of Research at Quantlogic. He was the celebrated global head of technical analysis at Bloomberg LP for four years where he was responsible for training and technical analysis software development on the Bloomberg terminal. Prior to that he was a very successful trader for Merrill Lynch, a Fund Manager at T-Capital and worked on the floor of LIFFE, He was a board member of The Society of Technical Analysts in London for over ten years. He managed a successful futures quoted fund for Union CAL Limited and, as a registered CTA in the US.

In 2004 he founded the BETA Group, offering consultancy to banks and funds around the world, as well as seminars to banking professionals. He has appeared on CNBC, Bloomberg, IG TV, Core television and has written articles published by leading financial journals. In 2003 he sold his interest in the successful hedge fund and concentrated on market timing skill consultancy for institutions.

Top investment firms and funds throughout the World choose him to train their staff. Trevor has given in-house Quantitative and technical analysis training at most large institutions, seminars at many conferences and extensive work for Reuters. Appointments, Media and Publications Trevor has been quoted numerous times by the top financial publications and is the principal trainer and Associate Editor for The Technical Analyst Magazine. He also delivers the popular ‘Technical Analysis Surgery’ on the Thomson Reuters Webex. He is a Member of the Securities Institute. He served on the founding board of the STA in London and the Technical Analysis Society of South Africa. Peter Stobbink quantlogic
Peter Stobbink

Peter holds a Bachelor of Economics from the Higher Economical Administrative Vocational Education School, Arnhem, The Netherlands. He is a portfolio/trading strategist and chartered technical analyst with 20+ years of experience in Global Financial Markets. Peter held the position of Head of Technical Analysis at ABN AMRO Private Bank in The Netherlands, before expanding his horizons with a move to Hong Kong in 2006. He continued his role for ABN AMRO, then as part of Royal Bank of Scotland and ANZ Banking Group following various mergers. At ANZ he developed a proprietary platform to support the DCI business across Asia Pacific resulting in significant increase of revenues; in 2013 Peter moved to HSBC. He has a track record of promoting and increasing the revenue of innovative investment products, which have proved extremely popular in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, and Vietnam.
